Delivery Information

We can deliver to most addresses in mainland UK and Isle of Man but we cannot presently deliver to the EU, to Northern Ireland or the rest of the world.

Orders are usually packaged on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for delivery by the end of the same week.

Delivery charges are usually banded by the number of plants you buy, or the order value. Delivery charges may change from time to time. We try to keep the price as low as possible, bearing in mind current carriage costs and packaging charges. You can see the amount you will be charged in your cart as you add plants.

Postage for orders consisting only of seeds are charged at a reduced flat rate regardless of the quantity ordered.

Gift vouchers and memberships are sent by email. If you would like a voucher or card sent out by post, please allow a few days for despatch and delivery. There is no postage charge for these items.

Delivery Method

We use courier services for all online orders. If it is likely that no-one will be at home when the courier tries to deliver, please indicate a safe place on your order where the parcel can be left.

Our courier service usually takes two days from despatch to delivery. It helps greatly if you can provide a daytime phone number which the courier service can call if they have any trouble locating your address.

We pack our plants carefully and they should still be in good condition up to 5 days from despatch. On arrival, please unpack them completely, give them some water and leave them somewhere cool and shady. They will soon perk up if they look a little tired after their journey. If you have any concerns about your new plants please do contact us. We want to make sure you are completely happy with them.

Large Items/Collect only

Plants that are too large to send out by mail order are shown as "Collect Only". When you place a ‘Collect’ order we will select the best available plants from our stock prior to your arrival and have them ready for you to pick up. Please allow 24 hours after placing your order so that we can prepare your plants and confirm availability, especially if you are travelling any distance.

Stock Availability and substitutes

Our website shows which items are in stock and we try to keep it as up to date as possible. If you order an item which we find is out of stock, we will always contact you and offer you alternatives or a refund. We will not send you substitute items without checking with you first.

Despatch of Goods

Plants are seasonal goods and many can only be despatched at certain times of year. When we receive your order, we will email you to let you know if any plants are not yet suitable for delivery. Normally we will despatch orders as soon as the plants are available. If we are unable to fulfil all or part of your order, we will notify you promptly and refund accordingly.
